Bogumiła Dziel-Wawrowska - mezzo-soprano

In 2004, she graduated with honors from Prof. Jadwiga Rappe’s vocal class at the Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw.

She has won a number of contests. In 2002, Bogumiła Dziel-Wawrowska was awarded the 2nd Prize at the Karol Kurpiński National Contest for Young Generation Musicians in Włoszakowice, in 2003 she won a Special Nomination at the Edmund Kossowski Polish Artistic Song Performance Contest in Warsaw, in 2006 a Special Nomination at the Jan Paderewski Vocal Contest in Bydgoszcz, and in 2008 she was awarded the 3rd Prize at the Iwona Borowicka National Contest for Operetta and Music Hall Performers Contest in Cracow.

She first appeared on stage was when she was still a student at the Academy of Music, and played the role of Countess in Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro”. Since then, she has regularly appeared in theatre plays and concert galas at home and abroad (in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Luxemburg, Switzerland, France, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden, and Belarus).

Her repertoire embraces a number of epochs, from Baroque to contemporary music: songs, arias, and opera duets, operettas, and musical theatre songs. Bogumiła Dziel-Wawrowska participates in chamber music and symphony orchestra concerts. She has collaborated with such directors as: Łukasz Borowicz, Gabriel Chmura, Sławomir Chrzanowski, Agnieszka Duczmal, Sholmo Mintz, Marek Moś, Marcin Nałęcz-Niesiołowski and Tadeusz Wicherek. She has performed at numerous international festivals, including Warsaw Autumn, Music in the Cathedral (Kołobrzeg), Gaude Mater Sacrum Music Festival (Częstochowa), Chamber and Organ Music Festival (Wygiełzów-Lipowiec), Polish Songs and Composers Summer Festival (Warsaw), Ancient Music Festival (the Royal Castle in Warsaw), the Crucifixus Est ...Passion Festival (Warsaw), Festival International de Musique Sion Valais (Switzerland).

In the 2007/2008 season she performed on stage at the National Opera House in Warsaw, and since 2009, she has also been working for the Łódź Music Theatre. She played leading roles in the following performances: G. Rossini’s The Barber of Seville (Rosina), S. Moniuszko’s Straszny dwór (Hanna), and Verbum nobile (Zuzia), J. Bock's Fiddler on the Roof (Hudel), F. Lehar’s The Merry Widdow (Hanna Glawary).

She has recorded for the Polish Radio and Polish Television. She has perfected her skills during many Master Class courses taught by a number of outstanding teachers: Helena Łazarska (Austria), Ursula Flige (Germany), Elisabeth Glauser (Switzerland), Urszula Kryger (Poland). At present, she is under constant vocal supervision of Professor Jagna Sokorska-Kwika.



Julia Kociuban - piano

Born in Kraków in 1992. She started her piano education at the age of 5. In years 1998 – 2006 she was tutored in piano playing by Olga Łazarska. In 2010 she graduated with honors from the 2nd degree Secondary School of Music belonging to the Mieczysław Karłowicz Complex of State Schools of Music in Cracow. In 2007 she started attending the piano class of professor Piotr Paleczny. Since 2010 she has been his student at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.

Julia is a multiple Grand Prix prize-winner, laureate of first places and special prizes in many national and international piano competitions. 9th Milosz Magin International Piano Competition (Paris, 2005), 3rd International Chopin Competition for Children (Jelenia Góra, 2005), 4th International Competition for Young Pianists “A step towards mastery” (St. Petersburg, 2007) and lately in the National Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition (Warsaw, 2008). In 2000 she was covered by the assistance programme for outstandingly talented teenagers managed by National Children’s Fund in Warsaw. Moreover, she is a laureate of various prestigious scholarships (The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland, Theodor Leschetizky Music Society in Warsaw).

She worked with many outstanding pedagogues such as W. Mierżanow, I. Monighetti, K. Popowa-Zydroń, J. Rouvier, T. Ungar, K. Helwig, D. Kim, E. Wong, O. Maisenberg and M. Raekallio. In years 2006 - 2009 she was active participant of Master Courses for Pianists at the Chopin International Festivals in Duszniki Zdrój.

She has given concerts in Poland, France, Germany, Russia, Estonia, Canada, Austria, Switzerland, Belarus, Ukraine, and in Lithuania.

She participated in many international festivals (lately - 64th Chopin International Festival in Duszniki Zdrój, XIV L. Van Beethoven Easter Festival in Warsaw, The International Piano Festival of La Roque d'Anthéron).

In April 2009 she was on a three-week concert tour in the USA. She performed many times as a soloist with accompaniment of Philharmonic Orchestras of Krakow, St. Petersburg, Lower Silesia, Silesia, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonietta Cracovia, Dawid Ojstrach Festival Orchestra in Parnu, Chamber Orchestra of Tallinn, the Beethoven Academy Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Przemyśl, Silesian Chamber Orchestra and Fryderyk Chopin University Symphony Orchestra in Warsaw, conducted by: Jerzy Salwarowski, Marcin Nałęcz-Niesiołowski, Łukasz Borowicz, Roland Bader, Maciej Tworek, Neeme Järvi, Eri Klas, Michał Nesterowicz, Massimiliano Caldi, Paweł Przytocki and Jerzy Swoboda. She also gives concerts with her brothers in “Family trio”.

Julia Kociuban is represented by the Ludwig van Beethoven Association.


Kamila Wąsik–Janiak - skrzypce

Kamila Wąsik-Janiak was born in Lublin. She graduated with honours from the Fryderyk Chopin University in Warsaw under the tutelage of outstanding violinist and educator - prof. Roman Lasocki (2010). She is a winner of many all-Polish and international competitions. In December 2009 she won the International Karol Szymanowski Competition in Łódź. In 2006 she received the second prize from prof. Zakhar Bron and special prize from Philharmonic in Kalisz for the best Polish participant of the X International Karol Szymanowski and Henryk Wieniawski Competition in Lublin. What is more, she won 30th Ogólnopolski Konkurs Bachowski im. Stanisława Hajzera in Zielona Góra, and 11th Internationaler Wettewerb für Violine in Kloster Schöntal (Germany), National Telamann’s Violin Competition in Poznań, National Violin Competition in memory of Aleksandra Januszajtis in Gdańsk and National Stanisław Serwaczyński Young Violinists Competition in Lublin.

This young artist took part in many prestigious music events: the 64th International Chopin Festival in Duszniki Zdrój (2009), Westdeutsche Rundfunk Musikfest in Münster (2009), Music Festival in Brześć (Byelorus, 2007), the International Student Festival in Kyoto (Japan, 2007), “Only the music doesn’t know borders…” in Görlitz (Germany, 2007), “Gwiazdy Promują” festival in Jelenia Góra (2006), “Mistrzowie Polskiej Wiolinistyki” in Zielona Góra (2006, 2007), Bronisław Hyberman’s Violin Festival in Częstochowa (2007). She cooperated with outstanding conductors: Marek Pijarowski, Wojciech Michniewski, Jerzy Salwarowski, Mirosław Jacek Błaszczyk, Jerzy Swoboda, Jan Miłosz Zarzycki, Czesław Grabowski, Zygmunt Rychert and Wojciech Rajski.

In 2008 she received the invitation from prof. Stanisław Moryto and performed in the artistic part of historic Inauguration of Academic Year, during which the Chopin Academy of Music obtained University statutory title. In the following year, she recorded CD with Szymanowski’s and Ravel’s music issued by the Fryderyk Chopin University. The CD was founded by Societe Generale Bank. Kamila Wąsik-Janiak performed in gala concert dedicated for Prince of Wales, heir to the throne - Prince Charles, and his wife –Duchess of Cornwall – Camilla. She also performed the programme that included Polonez D-dur op. 4 by Henryk Wieniawski.

Kamila Wąsik-Janiak willingly performs as a chamber musician. She performed several premiere of contemporary composers’ works. She received the scholarship from Minister of Culture and National Heritage twice (2005,2009). She is also a recipient of the scholarship from President of Gdańsk (2009), which is granted for prominent achievements and prestigious scholarship “Young Poland” from Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2007). In February 2011, she received Medal Magna cum Laude for the most outstanding student from the Fryderyk Chopin University in Warsaw. Currently she is a teaching assistant in the Fryderyk Chopin University in Warsaw.
