Professor Violetta Bielecka
A conductor and artistic manager of the Choir of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic in Białystok. She is a graduate of the music primary and high school in Białystok where she studied piano under professor Zofia Frankiewicz. She graduated Music University in Warsaw with honors where she studied under professor Ryszard Zimak and Józef Bok.
Professor Violetta Bielecka leads a very rich concert life. Her artistic output contains numerous tourneés in Poland and abroad (Germany, Italy, France, Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Baltic countries).
She won many prizes such as: Grand Prix in Legnica – Jerzy Liban’s Silver Lute , the prize of Foundation of Culture “Gaude Mater” in Częstochowa for the best performance of sacral composition, and the first prize and a Gold Medal on the 32nd International Festival of Choir Song in Międzyzdroje.
At the same time professor Violetta Bielecka works as an educator. A love for singing makes her professional activity incredibly dynamic. She was a vocal consultant of national Theatre Opera Choir in Warsaw(1995-97). She has been a professor in the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Department of Instrumental and Educational Studies in Białystok and since 2005 she has been a Deputy Dean of the University. Professor Bielecka was a Director of the Choral Conducting Department (1999-2005) and a Director of the singing class in the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Music School in Białystok. She also conducted Female Choir Schola Cantorum Bialostociensis. Since 1995 she has been a President of the Association of Choral Music Lovers “Cantica Cantamus”. Professor Bielecka also conducted a Chamber Choir “Cantica Cantamus” (1998-2006). She also is an organizer of International Trainings for Polish and Polish Diaspora Youth “Polish Choir of Peace”.
Beyond all the activities professor Violetta Bielecka has always taken care of her academic career. In 2000 she became an associate professor of music arts and in 2006 - full professor.
Violetta Bielecka is a very open-minded and friendly person. Her co-workers describe her as an undisputed music authority and also a guarantee of great atmosphere in work.
